Best of the Week

My favorite recipes from around the Blogosphere

August 1 - 7, 2011

Banana Split Bites by From Dates To Diapers. How cute are these little things!  I think they would be adorable for a birthday party or any kind of get together.

Roasted Chicken and Chickpea Salad with Olives and Capers by 1 Big Bite. I love salads, and chicken and chickpeas awesome.  This to me is a perfect cheap and healthy meal, even here in Norway.  Adding the capers and olives gives it a flavor punch and more adult appeal while still being palatable to kids. Awesome salad idea all around and I will definitely be making this one.

Perfect Peanut Butter Cupcakes by Kitchen WenchI love anything peanut butter, and we all know I love me some cupcakes so what could possibly be better than this?  This will be showing up on here for sure.

S'mores Pie by The Pastry AffairThis looks like food of the gods.  Who doesn't like smores? And who doesn't like pie?  If someone says they don't like either, they are definitely not someone you need to be associating yourself with.  More pie for you.

Chicken and Dumplings by Apron of Grace. Ultimate comfort food.  Back home in Amish Country we call this 'Chicken Pot Pie'.  To me, Chicken and Dumplings is another dish all together.  But to each their own, can't help where you come from. No matter what you call it this meal is always a winner and this recipe here looks damn good.

No Churn Blueberry Cheesecake Ice Cream by Kitchen SimplicityYes, I know I'm on an ice cream kick.  But honestly who could say no to this?  It looks absolutely delicious and I have 5 boxes of blueberries calling my name.

Lamb and Potato Curry by Hooked on Heat.  I love curry, and I love lamb even more.  This looks spicy and exotic yet warm and comforting at the same time. Fancy enough for a dinner party yet simple enough for a weeknight. Curry can't be beat.

These are my favorites from this week, check back next Sunday for more yumminess.
